“When I was 10, I applied for the Dr. Darlene Costa Brown Scholarship, and I got it. This moment helped me grow because I was presented opportunities that I would not have had without the scholarship I got to explore my desired career path, form new connections, and expand my knowledge of the world. I discovered new occupations and was introduced to people who became role models that I still look up to today. Girls Inc. has given me an advantage when it comes to succeeding in life, and they have been building me into a strong woman since I was 8 years old. I wanted to become a staff member because I always looked up to the staff when I came to Girls Inc. and wanted to be just like them.”
