What is Giving Tuesday?
Every year people across the country participate in Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, but have you heard of Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Your generosity will significantly impact our community and encourage others to give.
It’s a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. This year it is on December, 3rd.
In the days leading up to December 3rd, we will be accepting donations to help advance our mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. We ask that you consider making a one-time donation similar to what you would spend on a stocking stuffer or teacher/co-worker gift. When you make a donation to a local non-profit you are making an immediate impact on your community. When people around the world also commit to giving, the world becomes a better place for us all.
